- Operates and maintains one or more gas or oil fired high-pressure boilers and auxiliary equipment. Operates and maintains HVAC equipment and controls of various types. Performs minor maintenance and repairs of all mechanical equipment and systems including their related electrical components. Performs other tasks as directed by the Engineering Supervisor and/or Director of Facilities Engineering.High School Diploma or equivalent with major emphasis in a mechanical or trades curriculum required. A two-year education program in a related field recommended. Continuing education is a requirement of the position.Valid Montana driver''s license is required upon hire. Third Class Engineer Licence required or must be obtained within 90 days of employment. Second Class Engineer License preferred. Should the hospital commence operating boilers at pressures requiring a second class license, the employee must obtain a second class license within 12 months.Mechanical background is required.
