BON SECOURS PROVIDENCE MEDICAL

- 8:00am - 4:30pm/5 days per week
- Day shift
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- VA LPN license is required
- 1-2 years experience is required
JOB SUMMARY: Utilizes the nursing process, the Licensed Practical Nurse provides nursing care, teaching and counseling to patients and families and assists Providers and office staff as appropriate. Participate as a team member by performing additional assignments not directly related to the job description when workload requires and as requested by team leader. Must have ability to draw blood, take blood pressure, weights and patient history, and perform laboratory testing. Orders clinical supplies and keeps inventory current. May assist the Provider in minor surgeries. Gives injections, and assist physician in applying casts, splints, and dressing. Must be capable of caring for all age groups.
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Graduate of an accredited LPN school of nursing program. Minimum of two years experience in a clinical setting, primarily in a physician’s office. Current Licensure –LPN State of Virginia.
